Remove air cleaner and disconnect heat riser tube. Spray both sides of choke shaft. Work choke butterfly valve back and forth until it moves freely. Remove cap or adjustment cover from automatic choke actuator, and spray spring, cylinder, and vacuum piston to flush off abrasive grit, dirt, gum, and grease. Spray to clean and loosen all linkages, then replace all covers and parts. Start engine and respray all parts and work choke butterfly valve.
A quick spray of CARB & CHOKE CLEANER 2 will free heat risers and manifold heat controls without leaving sticky residue. Clean entire PCV system every 4000 miles. Spray CARB & CHOKE CLEANER 2 into valve and work manually until it moves freely. With engine idling, spray into hose and valve to flush completely.
