Airocide’s patented, NASA-developed PCO technology utilizes a reaction chamber packed with 1,000s of tiny catalysts. When excited by our proprietary lamps, a powerful oxidizer known as the Hydroxyl Radical is formed. All organic materials passing through the reaction chamber are eliminated upon collision with the formed radicals. Each unit consumes less than four amps, with a total power consumption of 390 watts. The proprietary high-intensity energy PCO lamps only require annual replacement. The 4” protection filter should be replaced approximately every 6 months*. Lamp kit and protective filter replacement orders can be placed through Chenex Industries, Inc., an authorized Airocide distributor.
