Viral Gastroenteritis in the Workplace.

Viral Gastroenteritis, an irritation of the stomach or intestinal tract is becoming more common in the workplace. One reason is physical contact with contaminated surfaces, where workers, often in confined settings, rapidly spread the virus from person to person. Norovirus is a common name of this transmission. Most people experience this with extreme diarrhea, vomiting and stomach pain - (often referred to as stomach flu). Every year there are about 21 million cases caused by Norovirus. Unfortunately, there is no effective vaccine for its prevention.

Proper hand hygiene is your first level of protection: hand washing and the use of hand sanitizers.

You can eliminate contamination, when touching of surfaces where the virus is present with proper disinfection. That integrates a hospital-grade disinfectant, registered by the EPA for this particular virus. "RX-75" is such a product.  Only 30 second contact time with "RX-75" is sufficient to safeguard your environment from the Norovirus. -When used as directed and detailed on the label, "RX-75" exhibits effective disinfectant activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (BCG), Norwalk virus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphyloccus aureus, Salmonella choleraesuis, Methicillin resistant Enteroccus aureus (MRSA), Vancomycin intermediate resistant Staphylococus aureus (VISA), HIV-1 (associated with AIDS), Hepatititis A Virus (HAV) and Feline Calicivirus and meets the requirements for hospital use. Please see the Technical Data Sheet and the Product Efficacy Sheet for many additional product claims.
